Welcome to the home page for the Pioneers, the Class of 2001, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Great Ife, great Ife, Africa's most beautiful campus. Conscious, vigilant, progressive; Aluta against all oppression; Forward ever, backward never; For learning and culture, sports and struggle. Great Ife, great, I love you; there is only one Great Ife in the universe, another Great Ife is a counterfeit;Great great great!!!!

We understand that many of us have in times past (and even now) looked up to some Universities as the bomb but the truth is that a collective decision to weave strength, success and glamour into the greatness of our Alma Mater would produce something that generations past, present and yet unborn would wish to identify with.


That is the reason behind this site.


The likes of Victor Oladokun (Turning Point, CBN), Eze Ajoku, Barine Gbosi (Xerox), Dele Momodu (Ovation), Remi Tinubu , Titi Atiku, Justice Fatima Abubakar, Prof. Itse Osagie, Bunmi Oni (Cadbury), Tunji Adigun (7up),Bisade Ologunde (Lagbaja), Faith Oyedepo, Rev Koleowo (Maximum Success), Mrs J. Dixon, and the list goes on all passed through this same school and the truth is that the world is yet to know some who have enough in them to leave a permanent mark on the sand ot time (some of them in this class, some others are yet to graduate).

  14. Special Project*

    The Special Project is to be commissioned during the dinner and is a special gift in honour of the school

The MISSION



  1. To develop a network that would transcend the departmental, club, faculty or religious platforms and allow for a creative atmosphere where synergism of efforts can produce results on a global scale
  2. To launch/commission our Project
  3. To set a precedence for other sets to follow
  4. To create a dynamic interaction between the school and the fresh alumni
  5. To finetune the network between students, alumni association and the students at large
  6. To create an atmosphere where ideas can be shared, visions can be sharpened and potential partners can be discovered
